Enlisting Hope from Former NICU families

The Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Virginia is a home-away-from-home for families of children who are critically-ill or injured and are receiving medical treatment in the Roanoke area.  The mission of the House is not only to provide a place to stay and a warm meal to eat, but also to cultivate a sense of community and fellowship.  Guests in our House are typically able to find comfort in talking to other families going through similar struggles and sharing uplifting words with one another.

Although the restrictions of COVID-19 have prevented this sort of in-person fellowship, we know there is still power in words and strength in community. In order to continue reaching these families, we’re asking former NICU families to email notes of hope and encouragement for us to include in cards that will be delivered to these families at the hospital. We invite you to join us in making these families feel loved and supported…. because healing happens together.

To participate, just email your note to info@rmhouse.net.
