Ways to participate:

1. PERSONAL FITNESS CHALLENGE
Finalize your goal…Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to tone your arms?  Do you want more energy? What is your ultimate goal? Picking a goal will help keep you accountable. 
Pick your challenge
…How will you achieve your goal? Here are some examples: 30 miles in 30 days (walk or run a mile a day!) or 30 squats for 30 days (perform 30 squats a day for 30 days!) 
Fundraiser…Ask friends and family to support your goal by sponsoring you with a donation to RMHC-SWVA.  Example for each mile you complete in your 30 days a family member may donate $2 for each mile you complete (for a total donation of $60!).

         *FIND A BUDDY! Doing this challenges with someone – even just checking in via text – is super helpful in staying accountable.

2. FAMILY/FRIEND WORKOUT CHALLENGE
Complete a fitness challenge…Anything!!!  What can you come up with?!?!  What about 30 burpees in 2 minutes?  Or 50 pushups?
Challenge your friends or family members to complete the challenge…Want to get fit and have tons of fun with your family and friends? Well, then you are in the right place! Have fun challenging others!  Put a price tag on the challenge!
Fundraiser…After you challenge your friends – if they can’t achieve the fitness challenge (that you completed) they must give a donation to RMHC-SWVA in your honor – however, if they complete the challenge then you must donate in their honor.

3. GROUP CHALLENGE
Find your group
…Your family? Your co-workers? Your teammates? A fun group of people that can include a little friendly competition, but also you can all keep each other accountable by cheering each other on and working together.
Decide on a fitness goal & challenge…Choose a fitness challenge that meets the needs of your family or a fun way to introduce more movement into an otherwise sedentary office environment. From beginner to advanced, there is something for everyone.
Choose a reward…No challenge is complete without a prize! As a group decide if you want to award place prizes or choose a group prize for anyone who completes the challenge, or everyone who accomplishes the challenge gets entered into a drawing. 
Fundraiser…Collect a “donation” from every person who wants to join your group and come up with the prize with a percentage going to RMHC!
