All of you… our neighbors, our friends, our extended RMHC family displayed such generosity to our Chapter yesterday during Roanoke Valley Gives day on March 10th. By sharing our social media posts and making generous donations, you helped us increase awareness and funding for our Comforts of Home program. We had set a goal of raising $2,000 to support this growing program. Not only did you meet that goal, but you also exceeded it by nearly $1,000!
You helped us raise a total of $2,935 from 38 individual donors in less than 24 hours. That amount is more than *TRIPLE* what we raised during the same event last year! We are so humbled by these results, particularly during a time when so many families have been impacted financially by the pandemic. We cannot thank you enough!!
These funds will touch so many families through care packages filled with snacks, toiletry items, gift cards, and the thoughtfulness of our generous supporters.
